The Little g's Administrative Assistant is a dual-role position. One portion is a weekend coordinator role, preparing and leading the little G’s team to serve on Sunday. The second portion of the role is administrative assistant during the week, supporting the little g’s Director and other coordinators in responsibilities such as event planning, ordering supplies, maintaining calendars, and other administrative tasks. 

Little g's is the nursery and preschool ministry at Generation Church, ministering to children 6 weeks through 5 years old. The Little g’s ministry is responsible for creating a safe and fun environment for kids while they learn about Jesus in an age-appropriate way. 

Reports to: NextGen Executive Pastor and Central Little G’s Director

• Lives out and protects the culture and values of Generation Church.

Responsibilities: 

• Direct the recruitment, training, and development of little g's Team Members as needed for weekend services and special events at a Generation Church campus.
• Provide direct leadership for little g's team members and work to develop leaders within the team.
• Create an environment for little g’s that is safe, fun, Christ-centered that represents the church with excellence.
• Ensure that all little g’s Check-In stations are ready to receive current church members and first time guest materials are in place.
• Coordinate and schedule  little g's team members for services.
• Onsite on Sundays and other various services.
• Manage communication with parents; execute physical mailings, mass emails (Mailchimp), social media (Instagram and Facebook), and other related communication needs.
• Ensure little g’s space are cleaned, stocked, and organized which includes ordering supplies.
• Work directly with the campus pastor both on Sundays and through the week to ensure Sunday standards of excellence are met.
• Organize, plan and implement Child Dedication.
• Support the little g’s Director by planning services and events, scheduling meetings, and running essential department errands.
• Facilitate tours for g101 on Sundays as well as a prompt follow up of those interested in serving on the little g’s team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills, including problem solving skills and meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Experience that has equipped them for working in a ministry environment.
• Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership, values, and doctrinal beliefs of Generation Church.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in conflict resolution using good judgment.
• Experience in Nursery/Preschool ministry or working with children
• Good understanding of Mac-based platforms.
• Ability to recruit, develop and motivate others in a manner consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Experience with children' s curriculum or kids ministry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams in some capacity.
