The Mesa gKIDS Pastor provides leadership and oversight for the gKIDS ministry (Kindergarten–5th grade) at Generation Church. This role is responsible for creating a safe, dynamic, engaging, and spiritual environment where children can grow closer to Jesus. The gKIDS Pastor leads teams, recruits and develops leaders, oversees weekend experiences, and ensures excellence in all areas of the ministry.

Responsibilities:

• Champion the vision, values, and culture of Generation Church and gKIDS.
• Create engaging, age-appropriate environments where kids can encounter Jesus.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop volunteers and leaders, including Junior Leadership programs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, pastoral care, and ongoing support for gKIDS teams.
• Oversee all weekend gKIDS and crKIDS experiences, ensuring excellence in preparation, execution, teaching, and team leadership.
• Manage ministry systems, communication, scheduling, training, safety processes, and Planning Center workflows.
• Coordinate team development opportunities, meetings, and leadership gatherings.
• Collaborate with campus leadership, staff, and ministry teams to support the overall mission of Generation Church.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Model a growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ
• Live a life that reflects Christ in words, actions, and online presence
• Agree with and support the mission, vision, values, leadership, and doctrinal beliefs of Generation Church
• Minimum of 2 years of experience serving in or working in a Children’s Ministry, or equivalent children’s leadership role
• Demonstrated experience leading volunteers and developing teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to navigate difficult conversations and resolve conflict with wisdom, professionalism, and grace
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technology

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Biblical Studies, Christian Leadership, Education, or a related field
• Experience in a multi-site church environment
• Experience with Planning Center Online (PCO)
• Experience using Slack, ProPresenter, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, and Mac OS
• Experience developing ministry systems, processes, and volunteer training pathways
• Experience planning and executing large-scale ministry events, camps, or outreach initiatives
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain volunteer leaders
• First Aid/CPR certification
