Retail Manager

The Retail Operations Manager oversees the merchandise (Gear) and cafe operations across all Generation Church campuses. This full-time, onsite role is responsible for building and leading teams, managing inventory and ordering systems, fulfilling online merchandise orders, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring operational excellence for both departments. This person creates systems, manages resources, and works cross-departmentally to support events and the Guest Experience across all campuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, build, and schedule Cafe and Gear teams at each campus
  • Oversee inventory systems, storage, ordering, and product flow for both departments
  • Manage and fulfill online merchandise orders and maintain the online Gear store
  • Ensure cafe quality standards and cleanliness across all campuses
  • Provide and coordinate coffee service for events at any campus
  • Manage retail and cafe budgeting and purchasing
  • Develop systems and processes to keep operations organized and efficient
  • Work closely with Creative department, Guest Experience, and Executive Pastors
  • Travel between campuses regularly to support teams and operations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience that has equipped them to work in a ministry environment
  • Experience leading and managing teams
  • Strong organizational and operational mindset
  • Proficient in quantitative analysis and inventory tracking
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Technically skilled and comfortable learning systems and platforms
  • Able to travel between Generation Church campuses
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character
  • Willing to embrace feedback and execute the vision of their leaders
  • Eye for detail and standard of excellence
  • Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership, values, and doctrinal beliefs of Generation Church

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in retail or inventory-based environments
  • Background as a barista or coffee shop environment
  • Retail budgeting or purchasing experience
  • Experience building systems and processes
  • Familiarity with Mac-based platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
  • Positive, team-building attitude with good conflict resolution skills
